2007 - 38th Annual Cornhusker National Junior / Senior High School

The 38th Annual Cornhusker Nationwide Junior / Senior High School Shoot is scheduled at Doniphan for May 3 - 5, 2007.  Last year we had 1726 entries --- this year we are expecting 1900+ for the three day event.  The Junior High Event will be held on Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m.  Friday and Saturday will feature Senior High entries beginning at 7:00 a.m.  The early start should allow for completion during daylight hours.  Any NTA members wishing to volunteer their help for this event should contact one of their zone directors.  If you want to just come and see these young shooters in action, please make a trip to Doniphan.  It will be worth your time.  The Nebraska Game & Parks Commission sponsors the event along with the NTA!  Each young shooter must have completed the Hunter Safety Course sponsored by Game & Parks before they can shoot at the Cornhusker.  Anyone interested in competing in the event should contact Rocky Hoffmann, Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, rocky.hoffmann@ngpc-ne.gov.  The deadline for entering is April 27, 2007.  Anyone wanting to camp at the Cornhusker, must make reservations with Marilyn Behrens, Sec/Treas. Several of our Nebraska shooters making a name for themselves in national competition shot at the Cornhusker --- Richard Marshall, Jr. and Dustin Klein are two still shooting registered targets competitively.
