2008 - 39th Annual Cornhusker National Junior / Senior High School

The 39th Annual Cornhusker Nationwide Junior / Senior High School Shoot is scheduled at Doniphan for May 1 - 3, 2008.  Last year we had 1685 entries --- this year we are expecting 1725+ for the three day event.  The Junior High Event will be held on Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m.  Friday and Saturday will feature Senior High entries beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Any NTA members wishing to volunteer their help for this event should contact one of their zone directors.  If you want to just come and see these young shooters in action, please make a trip to Doniphan.  It will be worth your time.  The Nebraska Game & Parks Commission sponsors the event along with the NTA!  Each young shooter must have completed the Hunter Safety Course sponsored by Game & Parks before they can shoot at the Cornhusker.  Anyone interested in competing in the event should contact Rocky Hoffmann, Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, rocky.hoffmann@ngpc-ne.gov.  The deadline for entering is April 24, 2008.  Anyone wanting to camp at the Cornhusker, must make reservations with Marilyn Behrens, Sec/Treas. NTA.  All spaces are reserved.
